Nu er der kun halvanden måned til at SWAT bliver holdt på Docken den 22. oktober. I forbindelse med eventet har vi været ude og lave interviews med de forskellige artister. Herunder kan du så læse det ekslusiv interview med Da Syndrome. Her hos Hardstylers Crewet glæder vi os ernormt meget til have besøg af den skøre MC endnu engang. Det bliver alt for stort.

1. Hi Wouter, you hosted the SWAT tour last year in Odense and did an amazing job, how does it feel to be coming back this time in Copenhagen the 22nd October?

It's always nice to come back to places where i had an awesome time. Just everything was perfect! Friendly people, a really nice atmosphere and a superb crowd. You guys sure know how to make a party, and that's just what I like, give it all you've got.

 

 

2. Last time you were here you gained an amazing amount of new fans, people went crazy. Do you have any plans for this years SWAT tour?

 

It's awesome to receive a mail or a Twit every now and then from my fan's over there. It makes me feel happy. Mc-ing is something what you do next to a DJ, it's a back-up. Off course I'm a little different from other Mc's. But I think it's really cool to have fan's and especially in Denmark! This year I will once again give all my ADHD and maybe we are going to do something special this time.. who knows? ;)

 

 

3. How has the last year been since you were here? Have you been busy?

 

I have done a lot of things the past few months. Together with Dj Brennan Heart we did two really big performances at Hardbass and Reverze. I was asked to host more and bigger parties through Holland and other countries. I have produced some new tracks with Hardstyle DJ's and we launched my website (www.dasyndrome.com) so yeah, I have been really busy. My dream is still on full power and I love it!

 

 

4. MC's are unfortunately not that big a thing here in Denmark especially not in the EDM scene. Do you have any tips for any upcoming MC's out there?

Just keep a look out for any parties near your hometown. Talk to the DJ, ask him if you can drop some lyrics or say something through the microphone. Do not ask money for your performance in the beginning but give people a chance to see what you have got. Try to make some tracks with producers you know or write to any organisation just to ask if you can host a few minutes for free. I know it's really hard to get there but if you never give up hope, you'll get there, just like me

 

 

5. What makes a really good MC?

I think it is important to be one of a kind. Be unique in your style. In Holland we have a lot Mc's. Some are rappers, others are hosts. Some are better in making tracks and others are better on stage. A good MC is someone who knows when to shut his mouth and also knows when to crank up the atmosphere. Next to that you also got to have a good voice. I can imagine you will crawl away when hearing a squeaky voice, haha.

 

 

6. You were recently with the Scantraxx crew to host the SWAT tour at Streetparade in Zurich. How was the atmosphere, especially after the tragic episode at Loveparade earlier this summer?

 

They really did a great job at the Streetparade in Zurich. There was a moment of silence because of the Loveparade and everyone showed their biggest respect. The atmosphere was awesome, people were getting crazy everywhere. I have never experienced something like this in my whole life. You could see me smiling whole the day, sitting on a speaker and watching all those beautiful people dancing, it was outrageous!

 

 

7. Can you mention a few of the best events you have been at the last year?

 

Any event is a big ass event to me. But to name a few, hehe...
It was awesome to host the MondayBar cruise once again. Hardbass and Reverze were two awesome gig's. In Qontrol, Decibel, Thunderdome, Defqon 1., Knock Out! All gig's were awesome. But not only those big events rock, also the smaller ones are great. When you are performing at a location with not that much people it is a little bit more personal, you see reactions from the crowd and you can talk to anyone if you want to. I like that.

 

 

8. Do you have any plans for the next couple of years? And yes we know that you have bought a cottage in England. ;-) ?

 

Hello? You must have mistaken me with someone else. I do not have THAT much money you know, (sorry ladies) ;) haha. But I do so just sold my castle in France, 24 sleepingrooms, 3 bathrooms, you get the point. So now that i have a little more money i can build up my own studio, buy a Ferrari, buy all PS3 games and become just as popular and.... okey, enough with this bullshit already haha.

My futureperspective is to make more tracks with DJ's now that i have finished my own little studio. I hope organisations will keep on asking me to perform at their parties. But i will never give up just like i said before. In one year so many things can happen. We'll see.

 

 

9. Is there anything else you would like to say to your fans here in Denmark before you arrive?

 

Maybe some of you can buy some ropes and poles? Is Denmark prepared for 100% ADHD? I hope to see all my fan's over there so together we can rock Copenhagen! How's the weather over there? Should i buy a raincoat? Is there enough to drink?
